GNAT Teachers’ Fund Goes Digital

The GNAT Teachers’ Fund (TF) on Sunday, 30th October, 2022 launched a brand new Digital platform during it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Abankro, Kumasi.

According to Christian Kwame, the Teachers’ Fund Trustee, the digital platform is carefully designed to deliver quick operational services for members of fund.

The digital platform would ensure that the existing traditional and non-digital processes are transformed using the following;

1. USSD application
2. Web/CRM application
3. Mobile application

The GNAT Teachers’ Fund platform allows;

1. Process Automation: i.e, Automation of loans, Retirement benefits (processing), Membership, Contributions adjustment

2. Chart BOTs: The platform will enable real time chat between members and the FUND

3. Online Payments: The platform will support online payments to and from members of the FUND

4. Social media engagement will equally be available

Benefits of the Digital Transformation

1. Speed in process turnaround time for all transactions

2. Convenience in transacting business with the FUND

3. Real time response to members request

4. Improved collaboration between the FUND and the district secretariats

5. Improved customer engagements.

The District Finance Committee (DFC) members will be trained in due course for the effective implementation of the digital platform.

It is the hope of The Board of Trustees and the Fund Management that this new digital platform will help eliminate the current challenges associate with the manual system.

Christian Kwame urges members to keep up the faith with the Fund as we continue to strive to serve members better.

Among the dignitaries present during the launch were the Board Chairman of the Fund, Mr. David Kattah; the General Secretary of GNAT, Mr. Thomas Tanko Musah; the  National President of GNAT, Rev. Isaac Owusu and the CEO of the Fund, Mr. Forster Buabeng.

The Board of Trustees, National Council Members, staff of the Fund among others  were also present.
