Gold Fields Ghana Appoints Dr. Jones Mantey as Industry Partner for UMaT

Gold Fields Ghana has appointed Dr. Jones Mantey, their Regional SD Manager to a new office.

The company has appointed Dr. Jones Mantey, the Regional SD Manager – Technical as an Industry Partner for the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT).

Dr. Jones will leverage his expertise to bolster UMaT’s Department for Environmental and Safety Engineering.

His role as an industry partner includes:

1. Providing expert advice on course structure and training for students to ensure they graduate with skills that meet industry demands.
2. Appointing subject matter experts to speak to students during seminars.
3. Serving as a role model for students.
4. Supporting fundraising activities to equip the department with relevant study materials.

Jones had initially served as a management committee member for the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Study at the University of Ghana for three years.
