University of Cape Coast closes East gate temporarily

The office of the Director of Public Affairs, University of Cape Coast (UCC) has issued a notice dated December 29, 2023, on the closure of the university’s East gate.
The university has informed the Community and the General Public that, due to the ongoing construction works at the University’s East Gate, the road leading to Valco Junction will be temporarily closed, effective Friday, 29th December, 2023.
Further, the notice indicated when the road will be ready for use.
“The road will be opened to traffic as soon as the major works at the Gate are completed.”
“However, alternative routes like the West and Farm Gates can be used as access routes into the University.
“Any inconvenience the closure might cause is deeply regretted.
“The cooperation of all stakeholders in this direction is highly anticipated.”
