Government needs to urgently act on the Demolishing at the Nigeria High Commission – John Dramani Mahama

The former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has reacted to the trending issue of the demolishing of a story building in the premises of the Nigeria High Commission in Accra.

In the past few days, there have several media reports of how armed men stormed the Nigerian High Commissioner’s residence in Accra on Friday night (19th June,2020) with bulldozers and demolished a story building apartment on the property.

In his comment, the former President explained that it beats his imagination
how such a violent & noisy destruction
could occur without our Security Agents picking up the signals to avert the
damage.

He added that, the Government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Akufo Addo needs to urgently act and get to the bottom of the demolition of structures on the premises of the Nigeria High Commission.

However, the ministry of foreign affairs and regional integration has issued a press statement in which they indicated that, investigations are ongoing into the issues and that the culprit will be brought to book.
