GWL announces and list affects areas to suffer water supply in Amasaman district

Management of the Ghana Water Limited (GWL) announced and listed the areas to suffer water supply interruption in Amasaman district.
Explaining the issue at hand, the release on the subject dated February 28, 2025 stated.
“The Management of Ghana Water Limited Accra West Region, wishes to inform customers of its Amasaman District about a temporary reduction in water production at the Nsawam Treatment Plant, where the District receives water for supply.”
“The reduction in production which will take place from 1st to 7th March 2025, is to allow for critical maintenance works at the Treatment Plant to improve water supply.”
“In line with the above works, there will be supply interruptions in our Amasaman District during those seven days,” the release stated.
The affected areas to suffer the water supply interruption in the district include the following:
- Amasaman Township
- Abchenease
- Toman
- Sapeiman
- Pobiman
- Obeyeyie
- Daaresalam
- Fise
- Amanfrom
- …parts of Pokuase and surrounding communities
GWL urged the affected communities to ensure that they have stored enough water for use within the stated timeframe for the maintenance exercise.
“We encourage customers in the affected areas to store enough water for use during the period.”
