There have been a massive shakeup in the leadership of the National Democratic Congress in Parliament.
According to the letter cited by Coverghana, the party has removed Harruna iddrisu as the Minority Leader he has been replaced with Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam lawmaker Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
The party has also removed Hon. James Klutse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader and he has also been replaced with Ellembelle Member of Parliament Kofi Armah Buah.

According to the information available, this shakeup in the leadership of the Party in Parliament is to position the party towards winning the 2024 general election.
Other new appointments that have been effected are;
- Minority Whip – Kwame Agbodza
- First Deputy Whip – Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim
- Second Deputy Whip – Hon. Comfort Doyo
