North Tongu Constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has ones again extended his kind support to some selected newly posted teachers in the remotest villages of his beloved constituency.

The former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of tertiary education who is poised in transforming the education sector in his constituency has donated Samsung Galaxy Tablets to ten (10) amazing 2022 newly posted teachers who accepted postings from the Ghana Education Service (GES) to some remotest villages in North Tongu District of the Volta Region.

The Lawmaker handed over the Samsung Galaxy Tablets to the teachers after having a productive meeting with them on Wednesday, 20th April, 2022 in his office in Accra.

Coverghana.com.gh has gathered that, about fifty (50) newly trained teachers were posted to North Tongu District by GES in 2022, of which about ten (10) of them accepted posting to some deprived/hard to reach communities.

‘The young teachers who have been at post since last year and are currently on vacation shared with me their experiences and what more I can do to improve their conditions.” Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said.

The Member of Parliament disclosed in a statement that, his singular office has given the teachers free donations of Samsung Galaxy Tablets and full assurances that the MP’s office shall embark on more interventions to improve teaching and learning in our hard to reach villages.

Mr. Ablakwa also greatly commended all workers in the North Tongu education space for the latest performance statistics which shows consistent remarkable improvement.

He again said, the least performing school in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) posted 71% compared to a low of 22% before he assumed office as MP for North Tongu. This is a sign of positive improvement by the Lawmaker in the Sector.

The newly posted teachers expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the MP for the king gestures and promised to deliver their best on the field as teachers in the best interest of the students, Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders.
