Honourable Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the South Tongu Constituency in collaboration with the special Aid and former Presidential staffer in John Dramani Mahama’s administration, Stan Xorse Dogbey have donated a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard motor to the Agbeve Electoral Area.
The Member of Parliament on Monday, 1st February, 2020 has handed over the brand new outboard motor to the community through the Assembly Member Hon. Christian Akorli.

Prior to the December 2020 general elections, representatives of the youth from communities in the Electoral Area met with Mr. Kobena Woyome and narrated the challenges they go through every day to cross the river splitting the entire Electoral Area.
The Youths told the MP that, they find it very difficult to cross the river which leads to other communities in the Electoral Area and requested for his urgent support.

In the request, the Youth also noted that, when the outboard motor is given, it will serve as a source of income and good living for the people in the area.
“The outboard motor will enable us earn money to pay our school fees, provide basic care for our families to be independent among many” The Youth told the MP.

The MP, who is determined to change lives of vulnerable individuals and also develop his Constituency has redeemed his pledge by donating the 40 Yamaha outboard motor to the Electoral Area.
The outboard motor donated to the
Agbeve Electoral Area in the South Tongu District of the Volta region will benefit communities such as Agbeve, Adzake, Alikekope, Kuve, Tsatsukope and Torve.
