Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome has been honoured for his positive contributions at the Heath Sector in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The South Tongu District Health Directorate led by Madam Mavis Agumeh, the District Health Director of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) honoured the MP with a citation for his positive contributions towards health care delivery in the district.
The citation of honour was presented to the Member of Parliament during the commissioning ceremony of the medical laboratory at the Dabala Health Centre (Dabala Polyclinic) on Monday, 10th October, 2022.
According to the Directorate, the citation was presented in recognition and appreciation of Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome for his selfless dedication and assistance to the South Tongu District Health Directorate.
The Directorate explained that, Hon. Woyome’s interest, humane affection and personal donations towards the provision of quality health care in the district are enormous.
“Notable among them are donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to curb Covid-19 pandemic in the district, reagents to the Laboratory Unit of Adutor Health Centre, furniture and bags of cement for renovation works in some of our facilities and cash donations to support health care activities in the district.” The Directorate disclosed.
Madam Mavis Agumeh’s Directorate unequivocally said, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome is indeed God’s gift to society in our time.
“Today, 10th October, 2022, you have presented us with one of the greatest gifts of a Laboratory Unit at the Dabala Health Centre. You are indeed God’s gift to society in our time.” The Directorate again praised the MP.
They believe that, the MP’s immerse contributions to quality health care cannot be overemphasized. “Your commitment to the development of our Sub-District are very much appreciated. We carry in our hearts the uniqueness of your dedication. We cannot but, pray that the Almighty God strengthen and increase you in all spheres of life.”
“May He increase you in wisdom to continue the selfless contributions to ensuring high quality health care to the people of South Tongu.” Part of the citation reads.
Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome is thankful to the South Tongu Health Directorate for the hounor done him. He assured management of the Directorate that, his outfit shall continue to support health care delivery in all aspects, in the best interest of his constituents.
Mr. Woyome explained that, it’s his desire and priority to positively contribute towards the development of the South Tongu District, across all sectors. He noted that, he cannot do it alone, hence there is a need for everyone to join hands with him to accomplish his vision for the South Tongu Constituency.
