“I can’t stop corruption but I’ll make it costly” – Special Prosecutor nominee, Kissi Agyebeng

The special prosecutor nominee lawyer Kissi Agyebeng says he cannot as special prosecutor to stop corruption in the country when confirmed.

Speaking before the vetting committee of Parliament, the renowned lawyer Kissi Agyebeng indicated that there is no way he can single handedly stop corruption when he is confirmed as special prosecutor of the country.

He explained that, even though he cannot stop corruption when appointed to the office of the special prosecutor, he will work to ensure that he makes corruption very costly.

Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng said “I am not naive to assume that I am coming to stop corruption. There’s no way I can stop corruption. God himself will not acclaim to that but, l am going to make corruption very costly to engage in.”



Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng was nominated by the Attorney General of the republic of Ghana to become the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Ghana.

Lawyer Kissi was vetted earlier today by the vetting committee of Parliament today 22nd July, 2021. If confirmed, He will succeed the former Special Prosecutor Mr Martin Amidu who resigned on 15th November, 2020.
