“I spoke with Sir John only yesterday but little did I know that was our last conversation” – Dr. Bawumia Mourns Sir John

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reacted to the death of the CEO of the forestry commission and the former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie a.k.a Sir John.

According to the information, Sir John was critically ill and was  undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra until he passed on yesterday.

Mourning the former General Secretary of his political party, Dr. Bawumia revealed he will miss Sir John because, he spoke with him only yesterday but little didn’t know that was our their last conversation.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said;

I have learnt with sadness the passing of Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie aka Sir John, former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party and Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission. I spoke with Sir John only yesterday but little did I know that was our last conversation.

Sir John was a good man who truly paid his dues to the Party and Ghana. I will miss him.

My heartfelt condolences to his family.
