“Sir John has left an indelible imprint on our political trajectory” – Samuel Okudzeto Mourns Sir John
The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency and a former deputy minister of education, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah has reacted to the death of the former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party lawyer Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John.
According to the information available, Sir John who is was popularly known for his “FEAR DELEGATES” comment was critically ill and was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra until his demise yesterday.

Reacting to the death of lawyer Owusu Afriyie, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah expressed deep and sincere condolences to Sir John’s family and the NPP and also added that Sir John has left an indelible imprint on our political trajectory and always proved to be a worthy political opponent.
Before his demise, lawyer Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John was the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana’s Forestry Commission.
