Ice Prince Zamani arrested for abducting and assaulting a police officer

The Nigerian Police on 2nd September, 2022 have arrested famous musician and songwriter, Ice Prince Zamani for allegedly threatening, assaulting and abducting a police officer on duty.

Reports indicate that Ice Prince whiles driving without a license plate was pulled over by the police officer on duty at around 3 am in the morning for questioning.

He obliged and even accepted to be taken to the police station but after the officer got into his car, the story turned sour.

Ice Prince abducted the police officer, physically assaulted him in his car and threatened to throw him into a River.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Public Relations officer for the Nigerian Police who narrated the incident said “ At 3am today, Ice Prince Zamani was stopped for driving without license plates.

He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”

He further went on to say that there is a video evidence of the act but will not be released to the public until after the court passes judgment.
