The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has directed Mr. Augustine Appiah through the National Secretariat of TTAG to hand over all the Association’s documents, materials and funds in his possession to the office of the National Coordinator with a week.
The directive came after the National President Mr. Augustine Appiah has been removed from office by a majority decision of NEC and the 25th Annual Delegates’ Congress at the Berekum College of Education on Thursday, 19th November, 2020.
In the letter signed by the National Secretary Mr. Issah Toha Shamsoo and the Acting National President Albert Dunoo said “We write to formally convey to you the decision of National Congress and National Executive Council (NEC) to impeach you from office as the president of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) for the several constitutional violations highlighted in our press statement with the reference number TTAG/PL/10/20 of which you were copied accordingly.”
“We therefore request that you within a week of receipt of this letter return all materials, and funds of the Association in your custody to the National Coordinator (0544416699) of the Association.” The Association directed.
“Should you fail to comply with the above directive within the stipulated period, the Association shall resort to the law courts and all legal means to retrieve the funds and materials in your custody. Accept our kindest regards.” The letter said.
