John Mahama Mourns NPP activist murdered at Dormaa

Former President and the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC John Dramani Mahama has Condemned the killing of an NPP activist at Dormaa.

It could be recalled that over the weekend, there were several reports of violence clashes between the supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress and those of the ruling New Patriotic Party which resulted in the death of one person with many properties destroyed.

Condemning the violent clashes, John Dramani Mahama indicated that, violence must never be an option in our democracy but thugs of the ruling New Patriotic Party are running rampage everywhere which resulted in the death of one of their own supporters.

The former President also added that, when he is Elected during the upcoming December 7th elections, a new administration under his leadership will fix the economy and restore justice and peace to the country.

Below is what the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress wrote on his Facebook Page reacting to the the violence clashes;

I condemn the violence at the EC Voters registration center during the mop up exercise in Dormaa on Sunday.

I join the rest of our well meaning compatriots to mourn the loss of the NPP activist who was killed by gunshots discharged by armed thugs of his own party. It is crystal clear now for all to see that armed NPP thugs are running rampage everywhere and this portends a clear and present danger to our democracy.

Violence must never be an option in our democracy. Unfortunately, it is increasingly clear that having nurtured and democratized violence by his all “die be die” mantra, Nana Akufo-Addo has lost control of his own party, just as he has lost control of many sectors of the economy in Ghana.

In January 2021, a new administration under my leadership will fix our economy and restore justice and peace to our beloved Ghana.
