The just ended election of the National Democratic Congress which took place on the 13th of May 2023 for the Presidential primaries, the former president John Dramani Mahama has responded to his victory on the election.
The former president said in his speech that he is very enthuse about how they turn out in their usual numbers to support him during this election and also when he was on his tour and also he sent his profound gratitude to the delegates for all the supports.
The former president John Dramani Mahama also thanked his opponent Dr. Kwabena Duffour who pulled out of the election and Mr. Kojo Bonsu for their support admist the election.
He made a statement saying “let us disagree to agree but let us keep our collective sides firmly on the supreme objective of the NDC leading Ghana out of the current abyss in which we find our country” to his people trying to tell them even though he has emerged as the winner but they should work hand in hand to progress as a party.
He also thanked his campaign team and urged all the MPs to work collaboratively and he thanked all the religious and traditional leaders for their prayers and support and made it known that he will join his team in Temale at the University of development studies to give his formal acceptance speech.
