John-Peter Amewu’s “1 family – 1 opportunity” agenda touches Hohoe drivers union members


The Energy Minister and the Parliamentary Candidate for the Hohoe Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Honourable John-Peter Amewu has extended his one family one opportunity agenda to Drivers Union  Members of the Hohoe Municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana.

An initial 50 batches of drivers drawn from the Hohoe constituency representing the various driver unions such as the GPRTU, COOPERATIVE, TAXI DRIVERS UNION, MADINA -HOHOE, ACCRA-HOHOE were all taken through the 4 days course on DEFENSIVE DRIVING by NVTI’s defensive driving department with all expenses sponsored by 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate for Hohoe constituency; Hon. John-Peter Amewu; subsequent batches would also follow soon.

The drivers that have passed out through the course are first in line to be considered for drivers employment opportunities and high purchase options for them to be ”Car Owners” if the good people of Hohoe send Hon. John-Peters Amewu to parliament come 7th December God willing.


Hon. Amewu graced their graduation ceremony to deliver his 1 family 1 opportunity promise to them if he is voted into power. In his speech, he said that “politics is about development and I am giving you a promise that I would touch individual lives positively if voted into power, we have started and we shall continue if voted into power “

Hon. Amewu promised to assist them gain permanent employment opportunities as drivers either in the private or public sector if elected into office under his 1 family 1 opportunity promise.

He also promised the drivers that some of them would be assisted with high purchase options to become car owners and to also become self-employed.

These drivers are responsible for the lives of their passengers and so such programs would facilitate road safety for both drivers and passengers.

Amewu’s Development agenda continues unabated and Hohoe constituents would be the best judges seeing what the alternative is also offering which is nothing, Leadership should be about progress.
