Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana declares industrial strike over sale of 60% of SSNIT’s stake in 4 hotels

The National Executive Council (NEC) of Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has directed that effective Monday, 15th July, 2024 staff of the Judicial Service should not report to work in compliance with the Organised Labour decision.

RE: ORGANISED LABOUR INDUSTRIAL ACTION OVER SALE OF 60% OF SSNIT’S STAKE IN FOUR HOTELS
The Leadership of Organised Labour, at its emergency meeting held on Friday, 12th July 2024 at the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Accra resolved to reiterate its position that ‘the proposed sale of SSNIT’s share in the four hotels is not in the best interest of Ghanaian workers’. It therefore called for termination of the process with immediate effect.
Further, Organised Labour has directed all workers not to report to work from Monday, July, 15, 2024 until the demands are met.
The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) is an accredited member of Organised Labour and its members are required to comply with the resolution. Consequently, the National Executive Council (NEC) of JUSAG has directed that effective Monday, 15th July, 2024 staff of the Judicial Service are not to report to work in compliance with the Organised Labour decision.
