Kakum National Park new mandatory user fees, charges and guidelines

Kakum National Park

Management of Ghana’s attractive tourist site, Kakum National Park has notified the general public and tourists about their adjustment of the Mandatory Entry/Utility Fee per person.

According to the notice, the new Mandatory Utility /Entry Fee per head will be Gh¢5.00 effective 1st January, 2023.

DETAILS OF CATEGORIES AND THEIR PRICES

CANOPY WALKWAY

Ghanaian adults will be charged Gh¢35.00 while Non-Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢100.00.

Ghanaian tertiary students will be charged GH¢20.00 while Non-Ghanaian tertiary students will be charged Gh¢70.00

Ghanaian SHS students will be charged Gh¢8.00 while Non-Ghanaian SHS students will be charged Gh¢70.00

Ghanaian (JHS, child, and Basic schools) will be charged Gh¢6.00 while Non-Ghanaian (JHS, child, and Basic schools) will be charged Gh¢50.00

NATURE WALK/HIKING (Minimum of one hour)

Ghanaian adults will be charged Gh¢30.00 while Non-Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢70.00.

Ghanaian tertiary students will be charged Gh¢15.00 while Non-Ghanaian tertiary students will be charged Gh¢50.00

Ghanaian SHS students will be charged Gh¢7.00 while Non-Ghanaian SHS students will be charged Gh¢50.00

Ghanaian (JHS, child, and Basic schools) pupils will be charged Gh¢5.00 while Non-Ghanaian (JHS, child, and Basic schools) will be charged Gh¢30.00

Be informed that the Extra hour for Hiking will be Gh¢15.00

BIRD WATCHING

Day 1– Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢60.00 while Non-Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢150.00

Day 2– Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢80.00 while Non-Ghanaians

will be charged Gh¢260.00

Day 3– Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢110.00 while Non-Ghanaians will be charged Gh¢400.00

Be informed that Extra Hour for Bird watching will be charged Gh¢15.00

CAMPING & TREEHOUSE

Adults will be charged Gh¢200.00 for Treehouse while Children will be charged Gh¢150.00

Adults will be charged Gh¢100.00 for Camp site while Children will be charged Gh¢80.00

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Commercial photography will cost tourists Gh¢400.00

COMMERCIAL VIDEOGRAPHY

Commercial videography will cost tourists Gh¢1,000.00

RECREATIONAL PARK EVENTS

Recreational park events will cost tourists Gh¢500.00

CONFERENCE ROOM

The conference room service will cost tourists Gh¢300.00

USEFUL GUIDELINES

1. Working hours -08:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M.
2. All tours are guided with no exceptions.
3. Please wear good footwear (sneakers or boots) for all tours.
4. Demand receipts for all tour payments.
5. Students must show ID cards to enjoy student rates.
6. Littering is strictly prohibited.
7. Special arrangements must be made for early or late entry, camping, and birdwatching.
