Kwabena Duffuor, a flagbearer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised concerns over discrepancies in the party’s voter register ahead of the presidential and parliamentary primaries scheduled for May 13, 2023. Dr. Duffuor is now calling on the National Executive of the party to postpone the elections until the issues with the incomplete and inaccurate delegates register can be resolved.

In a letter authored by Kofi Kukubor, the Head of research and strategy of the Duffuor campaign, the team explains that a postponement would allow for the register to be cleaned and for a free and fair election to take place. The letter was addressed to the General Secretary of the NDC.

Dr. Duffuor’s campaign team is urging the National Executive to take swift action to address the concerns raised to ensure a transparent and credible election process. With the primaries just days away, it remains to be seen how the party will respond to the calls for postponement.
