Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has put out the list of Donors who donated towards the construction of the resettlement project in North Tongu for VRA flood victims.
The project was commissioned on Saturday, February 10, 2024, for another 300 displaced constituents, mostly the aged and the physically challenged.
The leadership of the North Tongu MP and Partners Safe Alternative Housing for Flood Victims has decided to put up a Donors’ Plaque on the new resettlement project as a permanent symbol of our deep appreciation.
The plaque also serves as an enduring assurance that under lawmaker Okudzeto’s leadership, North Tongu values every donation and has transparently accounted for every contribution.
VRA started spilling their dams on 15th September 2023 which went down into the annals of North Tongu constituency also. However, with the good leadership skills portrayed over the years, projects championed among others built the public and individual trust for Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, therefore the institutions, individuals, and organisations among others opened up to support the good course the MP initiated for the affected people of the VRA-induced flood.
Appreciating the trust of donors, Hon. Okudzeto said at the commissioning ceremony “We put up a Donors’ Plaque on our new resettlement project as a permanent symbol of our deep appreciation.
“It also serves as an enduring assurance that in my beloved North Tongu, every donation is transparently accounted for.
“It’s all about the victims.
“God bless all donors”
Hon. Okudzeto thanked H.E. John Mahama, revered chiefs, compassionate donors, distinguished guests, hardworking construction workers, all volunteers, and his beloved constituents for making the commissioning ceremony of the North Tongu MP and Partners Safe Alternative Housing Initiative a resounding success.

“I hope this model of 70% contribution from benevolent Ghanaians and 30% from the MP’s Office helps us to construct more of such modern, decent disability-friendly buildings while creating jobs for hundreds of young people,” be added.
