List of NDC Vice Presidential Candidates Since 1992

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) since 1992 has towed a path for selecting its Vice Presidential Candidates. The selection of running mates plays a crucial role in every political party, as it does not only help shape electoral outcomes but also reflects the ideological directions of parties.

Since the inception of the Fourth Republic, the NDC, in particular, has had the opportunity to select running mates nine (9) times to partner with its presidential candidates at various elections.

Below is the List of the names of NDC Vice Presidential candidates and their respective Regions since 1992 to 2024

1. 1992: Kow Nkenssen Arkaah – Central Region
2. 1996: Prof. John Evans Atta Mills – Central Region
3. 2000: Martin Amidu – Upper East Region
4. 2004: Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni – Northern Region
5. 2008: John Dramani Mahama – Northern Region
6. 2012: Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur – Central Region
7. 2016: Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur – Central Region
8. 2020: Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman – Central Region
9. 2024: Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang – Central Region
