Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) SHS in Ghana
The Government of Ghana in collaboration with the Education Ministry has introduced a new module called STEM to re-enforce learners to apply in depth knowledge of theories in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Below are number of some selected Senior High Schools that run the STEM programme in the country for now.
Abomoso STEM School
Abomoso is a Senior High School that is well equipped with V- blocks, 24 units and 29 units classrooms with a standard ICT lab to accommodate the STEM programme. The school is situated in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern region of Ghana.
Kpasenkpe STEM School
This school is a STEM study centre at Awaso in the North West side of the Northern region with modern learning facilities.
Bosomtwe Girls STEM School
Bosomtwe town of the Ashanti region has registered one STEM study centre which is well equipped to meet requisite demand of learners.
STEM Centre at Accra Senior High School
This study centre has admitted more than 2,000 students to run the STEM programme declared buy the education minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum on January 12, 2022.
TVET (Accra East Legon)
This is the satellite centre that run both Technical, Vocational Education and Training(TVET) coupled with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at east Legon, Accra.
