The Chief Justice of Ghana, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah has been petitioned by a group of CSOs to allow for a live Telecast of the 2020 Election Petition hearings.
A group of Civil Society Organisations have petition the chief justice of the Republic of Ghana to allow for a live Telecast of the hearings of the 2020 election petition filled at the supreme Court by the NDC.
In their petition, the CSOs argued that, there is an enormous public interest in the 2020 Election petition case and such public interest must be satisfied with an opportunity to follow proceedings to the end to provide a proper and appreciable closure.
The CSOs further added that, they believe a live Telecast of the 2020 Election Petition hearings would enhance the transparent drive in the country’s democracy and the delivery of justice.
Some of the Civil Society Organisations that have petitioned the chief justice, Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah to allow for the live Telecast are:
