Meet the NSMQ 2017 Best Female Contestant

The youngest and most brilliant girl among the 2017 National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) contestants is studying Medicine now.

After her second cycle education at Tamale Senior High School, she proceeded to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) to study Medicine.

Zuweira Baba Mohammed from Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO) was adjudged the Best Female Contestant in the 2017 contest.

Despite investing tremendous efforts, her school did not appear at the finale but she stood high as the Best Female Contestant due to her prowess and control over areas where questions were asked from.

TAMASCO participated in the preliminary contest which was held at the R.S Amegashie Auditorium, University of Ghana Business School, Legon.

In the contest, they were defeated by Tepa Senior High School in the Tuesday, 6th June 2017 competition therefore, their opportunity to the next phase/stage in the struggle was ceased.

Tepa Senior High School denied TAMASCO the thrilling opportunity to partake in the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) finale.

Even though Zuweira Baba Mohammed’s school did not proceed to the final stage, the management NSMQ presented an award and a lump sum amount of money (cash prize) GH¢5,000.00 to her.

The presentation was made at the grand finale. The finale was attended by Prempeh College, St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, and Adisadel College.

After a long process, Prempeh College was declared the winner of the 2017 NSMQ competition.
