The President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed a 13-Member Board of Trustees to spearhead Ghana’s National Cathedral.
The Board of Trustees were inaugurated by President Akufo-Addo at a short ceremony held at the Presidency (Jubilee House) on 16th March 2017 after winning the 2016 Presidential election.
According to the President, the 13-member Board of Trustees will be in charge of the National Cathedral when it is completed.
The inaugurated Board which largely constitutes heads of various church groups has again been tasked by President Akufo-Addo to oversee the successful completion of the National Cathedral Project.
In an inaugural speech, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said “It is an extremely solemn occasion for me because this is something that I have thought about sometime [and] I am hoping that if God is kind to me this will see the light of the day while I am a tenant,” the President said Thursday at a brief ceremony at the Flagstaff House.
