Minister of Information announces validation of report on key sector indicators in media industry

The Minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has revealed that the ministry has been validating a report on key sector indicators in the media industry for the year 2022. He disclosed this in a tweet, stating that the findings of the report, along with others, underline the need for capacity enhancement and other intentions.

The validation exercise, according to the Minister, is geared towards providing a comprehensive view of the media industry’s performance in 2022. The report’s findings will also serve as a guide to the government and stakeholders in identifying areas that require improvement.

“The findings of this and other reports galvanize the need for capacity enhancement and other intentions.”

In addition, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah revealed that the ministry has been working on extending the footprints of the Ghana Publishing Company beyond Accra. The move is aimed at expanding the reach of the publishing company to other parts of the country and making its services accessible to a wider audience.

“We’ve also been working on final details on how to extend the footprints of Ghana Publishing Company beyond Accra”.

The Minister advised stakeholders and the general public to be on the lookout for more details on the validated report and other initiatives aimed at improving the media industry’s performance.
