The Electoral Commission of Ghana has discredited a fake recruitment advertisement that has been circulating on various social media platforms. In a statement, the Commission advised the public to disregard any recruitment advert claiming to be from them as they are currently not recruiting. The statement warned that the recruitment advert should be treated as a scam from unscrupulous persons.
“The attention of the Electoral Commission has been drawn to an advertisement circulating on various social media platforms to the effect that the Commission is undertaking a recruitment exercise”, the statement read.
“The general public is informed that the Commission is not carrying out any recruitment exercise. The public is advised to disregard the said advertisement.”
The Electoral Commission is responsible for the conduct of all public elections and referenda in Ghana. It has called on the public to report any suspicious activities regarding its operations to the police.
