Ministry of National Security launches Homeshield security measures

The Ministry of National Security has informed the general public on a Homeshield security exercise scheduled in some parts of the country.

In a press statement released by the ministry, the exercise, dubbed EXERCISE HOMESHIELD-2022, forms part of measures to enhance the capacity of security personnel to respond adequately to the country’s constantly evolving threat landscape.

COMMENCEMENT DATE

According to the release, Tuesday, 6th December, 2022 to Thursday 8th December 2022 is slated for the conduction of the simulation exercise in the Savannah, Oti, and Greater Accra Regions.

Furthermore, the ministry stated that, specific details of the exercise would be communicated to residents of areas to be directly impacted through the various District Security Councils.

That notwithstanding, the general public is duly informed and urged to cooperate with the various security personnel to ensure law, order and public safety throughout the conduct of the exercise.
