Reports available to Coverghana.com.gh have confirmed that, a missing seventeen (17) years old boy has been found dead in the Volta lake near Sogakope bridge in the South Tongu District, Volta Region.

According to verified information, Obed Johnson Kotoku Deh, aged 17, was declared missing by the Sogakope Police station with a police extract on 2nd March, 2022 after a formal report by the family.

According to a brother Emmanuel Kotoku, the late Obed Johnson Kotoku Deh left home on Tuesday 1st March, 2022 around 6:00pm and all efforts to locate him has proven futile hence the formal report to the Ghana Police Service to assist in launching a public search for him.

The report further said, all efforts to locate the whereabout of the deceased have failed.

Meanwhile, around 9:00 am this morning (4th March, 2022), the body of the late Obed Johnson Kotoku Deh was found dead in a water body under a bridge near the Sogakofe GRIDCO on the Sogakope-Fievie Dugame road.

The 17 year old promising young boy Obed Johnson Kotoku Deh was the immediate past School Prefect of Sogakofe Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Basic School in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.

The body is currently at mortuary pending Police investigation and autopsy.
