The Electoral Commission of Ghana under the leadership of Mrs. Jean Mensa yesterday held a day of thanksgiving and prayer.

With less than 14 days to this year’s December 7th Presidential and Parliamentary elections, the Election management body of the country, the Electoral Commission has held a day of thanksgiving and Prayers.

Prayer Service, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana indicated that when they joined the commission, it was barely four (4) months to a referendum and things seemed hard but God saw them through.

Mrs Jean Mensah also prayed to God Almighty for a peaceful, violent free, glorious, timely, orderly, wonderful, excellent victorious and successful Presidenial and Parliamentary elections.

During the thanksgiving and Prayers, Mrs. Jean Mensa said;

“When we joined the Commission 4 months to the Referendum and had to start from ground zero, it seemed hard but God saw us through. Praise be to God for His assistance, for our able and competent staff and for giving us strength and wisdom to put all preparations for the 2020 Elections together.

As the Chairperson of the Commission, I declare in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God that the 2020 Elections shall be peaceful, violent free, glorious, timely, orderly, wonderful, excellent victorious and successful so help us God. We thank Him for He will answer our prayers”

Also present at the thanksgiving and Prayers was Reverend Dr. Joyce Aryee and Retired Staff Association of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
