Naa Ashorkor says she has Tested Positive for Covid-19

Ghanaian actress and media personality Naa Ashorkor also known as Nisirine Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku says he has tested positive for Covid-19.

According to Naa Ashorkor who currently works at Asaase Radio in Accra, she took a Covid-19 test because she wasn’t feeling well on Thursday night and the test result came out positive.

Naa Ashorkor further added that she is currently in Self isolation following his doctor’s instructions.

In a tweet on her officially verified Twitter handle, Naa Ashorkor wrote;

After not feeling “like myself”, on Thursday night,I did a Covid test & it came out positive.I am feeling okay, following doctor’s instructions &self isolating at home.

The virus is real.Wear ur mask,Wash ur hands with soap under running water.Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.

Earlier, the management of Asaase Radio where Naa Ashorkor works issued a Press Release in which they indicated that an employee of the station has tested positive for Covid-19.

COVID 19 DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING OF STAFF
Asaase Radio confirms that one member of it’s staff has tested positive for COVID 19, as at Saturday, 17 October, 2020. The individual is well, and currently self-isolating in accordance with the laid down protocols.

As a follow up, Asaase Radio will commence a full scale re-test of all staff in order to quickly identify any other cases, if they so exist, and ensure the continued protection of other workers, their loved ones, visitors to the station and the general public.

Asaase Radio will also continue to enforce it’s strict COVID-19 protocols within it’s premises as it has done since it began operations. All staff and members of the public visiting the premises are required to have their temperatures checked at the entrance, wash and sanitise their hands before entering the building, and always wear their face/nose masks.

The health and safety of our staff and the public are of extreme importance to us, and we will  ensure all measures continue to remain in place to protect them accordingly.

The station wll provide further updates should the situation change.
