The Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare interdicts Commissioner of Police (COP) Alex Mensah and 2 others over leaked tape.
In a statement, the former Director-General of Operations for the Ghana Police Service, COP George Alex Mensah, and 2 other police officers have been interdicted with immediate effect following their involvement in the leaked tape being investigated by Parliament.
The three Police officers are
1. COP George Alex Mensah
2. Superintendent Emmanuel Eric Gyebi and
3. Superintendent George Lysander Asare.
The interdiction is to make way for disciplinary proceedings into their conduct in line with Police service regulations.
According to the directive, the officers are to hand over their weapons, uniforms, and other police accoutrements and properties, including the command vehicle and his authority badge.
