Nana Addo orders interdiction of National Security Officer who attacked a soldier

Gerard Nana Osei-Tutu had been interdicted by the Minister in charge of the National Security following the President of the Republic of Ghana’s directive.
In a press statement issued by the Information Minister Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the President of the Republic and the commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has learnt with dismay reports of an attack on a soldier by an official of the Bureau of National Communications of the National Security Council Secretariat, Gerard Nana Osei-Tutu.

Upon the President’s instruction, the Minister responsible for National Security, has interdicted with immediate effect the said Gerard Nana Osei-Tutu and has commenced a full investigation into the incident.
The statement further said, the military Constituents a key layer in the country’s security architecture. Therefore, any infringement on the institution and its officers will not be tolerated.

During the Electoral Commission’s Special Voting on Tuesday, 1st December, 2020, there was a report of attack on a soldier by an official of the Bureau of National Communications of the National Security Council Secretariat, Gerard Nana Osei-Tutu.
