National Chief Imam visits North Tongu to pray for deceased Aveyime Chief Imam

The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa honours the presence of two (2) esteemed religious figures in the North Tongu constituency. The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie.

The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu bestowed the final prayers for the late Aveyime Chief Imam on Saturday, January 27, 2024, and prayed for his peaceful rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

On Sunday, January 28, 2024, Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie conducted a special Catholic Mass in Mepe, praying for those affected by the spillage from the Akosombo and Kpong dams. The Archbishop also visited displaced individuals in their camps and inspected the MP’s Safe Alternative Housing Project, set to be commissioned soon.

The lawmaker, Hon. Okudzeto extends his heartfelt gratitude to the religious leaders for their encouraging words and special prayers.

He also called for the continuous fostering of Ghana’s beautiful inter-religious harmony. Also, he thanked all religious organizations for their compassionate support during this challenging time.
