The National Youth Authority together with its mother Ministry, the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the auspices of President Akufo Addo has commemorated this year’s “International Youth Day” at the Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Center at Akwapem Mampong, in the Eastern region of Ghana.
International Youth Day is marked for the 12th of August every year and is celebrated across the world. The Theme for this year’s celebration is “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages“.
Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide, CEO of the National Youth Authority stated how important this year’s celebration is to him and asked for the support and involvement of all. The commemoration was marked by some of the new policies adopted by the Authority which includes the National Youth Policy Launch, the maiden National Youth Conference and the Star of the Youth of Ghana Award.
In attendance was the Deputy CEO in charge of Programs , Mr. Nelson Owusu Ansah, Deputy CEO in charge of the Finance and Administration, Mrs. Akosua Asaa Manu, management of the Authority, political and youth groups and a number of reporters from the media.
