Ghana Police Service has declared fourteen (14) more persons wanted in connection with disturbances at the NDC’s National Youth and Women’s Congress held in Cape Coast.

Earlier, the Ghana Police Service has declared 16 persons wanted. But in the course of the week, two persons were arrested following an intensive investigation leaving 14 more persons who are in their hideouts.

On 10th December, 2022, NDC held their National Youth and Women’s Congress at Cape Coast where some reported notorious men caused violent disruptions during the Congress.

According to the update released by Ghana Police, they have two (2) suspects in their custody currently who will assist them to investigate the violent acts that took place in Cape Coast during the Congress.

“The two suspects, Abdul Halid Shaibu alias Oluu and Ibrahim Razak, who were among the 16 persons declared wanted for their involvement in the disturbances, were arrested through targeted intelligence operations at Tamale in the Northern Region on 7th January, 2023.”

“The faces of the suspects have been shown because they had been declared wanted with their images already displayed in our quest to seek public assistance in getting them arrested.”

“The targeted intelligence operations are still ongoing to arrest the remaining 14 suspects and we would like to assure the public that we shall surely get them to face justice.”
