NDC Begins Organizing Separate Funeral Related Activities for Jerry John Rawlings

The opposition National Democratic Congress has started organising funeral related activities for the late Founder of the Party Former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In a statement released by the National Democratic Congress, the party indicated that they are in deep shock following the sudden demise of the founder of the party Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings.

The statement signed by the General Secretary of the Party, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia further indicated that the party is committed to celebrating the life of their founder and has decided to undertake the following funeral related activities for their late founder Jerry John Rawlings;
a. Books of condolence will be opened at the NDC National Headquarters, Regional
offices and Constituency offices:
b. Party offices will be draped in red and black, and party flags will fly at half-mast
during our period of mourning:
c. A vigil will be held in Accra at the Obra Spot on Sunday, from 5pm till midnight.
The National Democratic Congress has also directed all regions, constituencies and branches to organize appropriate funeral related activities at their various levels. The party also call on all NDC supporters and wel-wishers of the Party to join us in celebrating the life of our great Founder and to honour his sacrifice for the nation.
