New Transport Fares effective 19th December, 2022 released

The Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU) operators in collaboration with Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) after long engagement has published the new transport fares.

After engaging with stakeholders on the reduction of transport fares, they have finally decided on a new reduced fares.

In a joint publication released by Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU) and Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) today, 16th December, 2022, a new reduction of transport fares has been adjusted to 15.3% meant to be effective come Monday, 19th December, 2022.

Earlier in the day, the Transport Ministry promised a reduction of transport fares after mediating with the appropriate authorities on transport fares.

In the news also, the General Secretary of GPRTU Godfred Abulbire said “what we have discussed is to arrive at the margin for reduction that the general public and operators will equally be satisfied with.”
