The North Tongu Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has listed the activities they undertook in January 2023.

In a public statement made by Mr. Kennedy Mornyuie, he summarized all the successful activities the branch carried out last month, January.

In his statement, he said “a lot more political activism took center stage that, I clave your indulgence to remind us about it.”

He continued saying he believe this will offer them the opportunity to appreciate their past and also plan for the future.

To start with, Mr. Kennedy Mornyuie said North Tongu NDC as part of her drive to cement unity within its ranks against the backdrop of the cracks that might have occurred as a result of the constituency elections, instituted Get-Together to water down any individual differences.

Adding with emphasis, he said, “I can report without any iota of doubt that all suspected lingering issues lacing to torment oneness of the party in the constituency has been nipped in the bud.”

“We are therefore battle ready to dismember the most corrupt, inept, and frustrated NPP party/government.”

Secondly, Mr. Mornyuie said after all lingering issues serving as a threat to the unity of the party was dealt a big blow at the Get-Together session, a mammoth Thanksgiving service was organized to appreciate God for his kind protection of our party from branch reorganization to constituency, to the region and finally to the election of national officers.

“A word of prayer was said for the entire officialdom of the constituency party at Presbyterian Church auditorium-Mepe.”

Based on the above, the constituency executives committee of North Tongu held a crucial executive meeting. The meeting was largely meant to listen and adopt an action plan for all departments for the year 2023.

At the meeting, the various organs of the North Tongu NDC tabled fantastic ideas for implementation.

“It will interest you to appreciate the fantastic ideas begging to be implemented from various organs of the party in North Tongu. We’ll soon hit the road to witness the final escape of the elephant into the bush where it belongs.”

Further, the constituency also engaged in a gargantuan health screening program of national outlook.

The health exercise commenced at Aveyime to Torgorme to Nyatikpo, more than 50 communities and over two thousand (2000) individuals with varying ailments have benefitted from the process.

Accounting for the screening project, he said it was undertaken by GAMA and single-handedly financed by the outstanding member of parliament for the area Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

To add again, they championed a Fumigation exercise at Battor Catholic Hospital to clear the facility of infections.

To end, the constituency’s executives in the month of January joined their counterparts at the branch level to engage in one activity or the other.

CEC members also mourned with a couple of compatriots who lost loved ones

“In effect, the month of January has been full of activities that got the leadership of the constituency at all levels to be up and doing,” Kennedy Mornyuie summed up.

They have high hopes and pray that CK Akaho-Tay-led constituency executives would engage more in the month of February so that they would have a lot more to report about in the month of march.
