NPP Flagbearership: Results of the Super Delegates Conference Election:

The ruling New Patriotic Party held a Super Delegates Conference Election earlier today to reduce the number of flagbearer hopefuls from ten to five.

The five successful candidates will go for the final round of the presidential primary to elect a flag bearer for the 2024 general election.

According to Article 13(9) of the NPP constitution, “Where there are more than five contestants for nomination as the party’s presidential candidate, a Special Electoral College shall cast their votes by secret ballot for the first five contestants to be shortlisted”.

A total of 956 delegates, all senior members of the party, voted in today’s election to shortlist the five candidates.

2. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong – 132 Votes
3. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen – 95 Votes
4. Afriyie Akoto – 36 Votes
5. Boakye-Agyarko 9 Votes
6. Francis Adei Nimo – 9 Votes
7. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong – 6 Votes
8. Joe Ghartey – 4 Votes
9. Mr. Kojo Poku – 3 Votes
10. Dr. Konadu Kofi Apreku – 0 Vote
