The 2020 Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress Mr. John Dramani Mahama says, the governing New Patriotic Party has done nothing in the Volta Region.
According to the former President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party has not carried out any major governmental project in the Volta Region since they officially assumed office on 7th January, 2021.
Addressing the people of the Volta Region in live interview with Randy Edudzi Ahadzi at the Global 105.1 FM, in Ho, as part of his Thank You Tour, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has reiterated that, the National Democratic Congress has done a lot for the Volta Region during the Party’s administration. He said, the NDC do not take the people of the region for granted in developing the region.

Mr. Mahama has accused the New Patriotic Party for always engaging in public propaganda on the NPP achievements in the region without showing any project to the good people of the Region.
The former President has put a challenge to the governing New Patriotic Party to just make a list of their governmental projects in the Volta Region for the public to scrutinize.
“I am talking about major governmental projects, the NPP has done no major governmental projects in the Volta Region since President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took power from me” Former President John Dramani Mahama said.

He used the opportunity to chalked some of the major governmental projects under the NDC regime. The achievements listed include major educational infrastructure, health projects, roads, water and sanitation, among many across the eighteen (18) administrative District and Municipal Assemblies in the Volta Region.
According to John Dramani Mahama, it becomes very necessary to reiterate his achievements to the good people of the region to show his commitment in developing the Region as he started some years back as president of Ghana.
