NPP primaries: Hohoe constituency NPP delegates acclaim Energy Minister John Peter Amewu
The Energy Minister Hon. John Peter Amewu has been acclaimed by the New Patriotic Party leadership as the Parliamentary candidate for the Hohoe constituency to contest the Parliamentary seat in the December 7, 2020 general elections.
“As with every NPP Orphan constituencies, we just concluded our primaries in Hohoe.
In my case, it was my acclamation as the parliamentary candidate for the NPP in Hohoe constituency.” He announced with joy.
According to the Hon. Minister, today’s main parliamentary primary for the party, is as competitive as with previous primary processes.
Hon. John Peter Amewu said he is confident that a more stronger, united and greater NPP would emerge at the end of the Parliamentary Primaries.
He admonished all members of the party saying, “at the end of the day; there would be no winners and there will be no losers; The party would be the winner.”
The Hohoe constituency is noted to be a strong zone of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since independence. The acclamation of the Energy Minister Hon. John Peter Amewu means that, he would have to put in more effort to battle with the NDC parliamentary candidate Hon. Margaret Kwaku in the December general elections.
