NPP recruiting nurses and doctors to kill Voltarians ahead of December Polls – Volta NDC
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that the ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP) is finding ways and means to eliminate the lives of Voltarians ahead of the December 7th, 2020 general election.
According to the party, the NPP is recruiting nurses and doctors in the various health facilities to kill Voltarians to reduce number of voters ahead of the general election.

In a press release signed by Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) dated 27th November, 2020 and sighted by Coverghana.com.gh Volta Regional Correspondence, Tabitha Kugbonu, the party has stated that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led NPP government has taken its hatred for the people of Volta region to another dangerous level where Voltarians have become vulnerable and helpless under the current regime. It’s rather unfortunate that, our brothers in the NPP government have failed to defend us.
“Now our life is under serious threat as they have tasked nurses and doctors in the region to kill us to further reduce our numbers ahead of December 7 general election.” The letter added.
NDC again emphasised that two of the NPP’s plans to intimidate their people not to register and vote, seizure of vote ID cards have failed.
The party revealed these informations after, Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide, Deputy Minister of Information at a press conference organized by NPP for nurses and other health professionals in the region at the Ho Technical University Auditorium on November 22nd, 2020 charged the participants that, accepting to vote for President Nana Addo and the NPP must be the only pre-condition by which a patient must be attended to, in our health facilities ahead of the general election.
The opposition NDC disclosed that the information reaching them is that, there are moves by the government to transfer nurses and other health professionals into Volta Region to perpetrate this unethical and heinous crime against Voltarians. This is because, most nurses in the region found Mr. Hadzide’s directive strange and inhumane, and vowed to defiled it and rather save the precious lives of Voltarians.

The Volta Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is calling on the Ghana Health Service to ensure that nurses and doctors in the region discharge their duties with utmost professionalism and nationalism to save lives. They also called on the general public to report any practitioner who asked them to vote in a particular direction in the upcoming election as a pre-condition for treatment at any of our health facilities and further demand proper screening of any transfer nurses into the region ahead of the election.
They have also urged Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide to render unqualified apology to the health professionals and the good people of the region.
