NSS announces end of National Service period for trained teachers

Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced the end of National Service period for trained teachers from the Forty-six (46) Accredited Public Colleges of Education.

According to the Scheme, Colleges of Education Personnel who started their one year mandatory National Service on 15th January, 2021 shall end the service in the last working day of November which is Friday, 30th November, 2021.

The notice sent to the 2020 batch of Newly Trained Teachers said, December 2021 shall be their terminal leave leading to the Ghana Education Service (GES) posting or recruitment.

The Scheme has also entreated the personnel to ensure that, they continue to submit their monthly evaluation forms for payment of NSS allowances.

They added that, every personnel must ensure, he/she prints out the annual evaluation forms to be endorsed by head of institutions/user agencies before vacating post.

Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) regret of the delay in payment of outstanding allowances to personnel. According to them, everyone personnel shall be paid their allowances.

According to the information intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, the National Service Personnel will also be paid transportation at the end of the service depending on their place of service.
