The Education Management Training Foundation (EDMAT), a body approved and certified by the National Teaching Council (NTC) has announced schedules to organize workshop for teachers teaching at the Basic Schools.
In a letter issued by Dr. Robert Okyne, the Executive Director of Education Management Training Foundation (EDMAT) to the Northern Regional Director of Education indicates that, the National Teaching Council (NTC) has approved the (EDMAT) as a Service Provider to carry out Credit Based Point Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training activities for teachers.

According to the Information, the Service Provider will carry out the training activities for teachers in the Basic Schools in the Northern Region of Ghana as a start.
CREDIT POINTS TO BE AWARDED
According to the Certified notice Intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh, the training programme is Point Based. Attendant list will be forwarded to the National Teaching Council (NTC) Headquarters for subsequent awards of credit point to be factored against the Ghana Teacher Licensure renewal.
TRAINING LOG SHEETS
Participants are requested to bring along their training log sheets to the venue for endorsement. However, NTC Service Provider shall provide copies of the log sheets so that, those who do not have can fill same for endorsement.

The registration fee is Gh¢65 per participant and this will include;

MODULES OR TOPICS TO BE STUDIED ALSO INCLUDE
Overview of teaching and learning strategies; comparative analysis and paradigm shift. Students centered teaching and learning; effective application and workable template. Differentiated teaching and learning; effective applicants with workable template.
According to the National Teaching Council (NTC), the certificate can also be used for promotion/upgrading application.

DATE FOR WORSHOP
According to the certified timetable, the workshop is scheduled to take place between 17th April, 2021 to 5th June, 2021 across the region.
