The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated a brand new wheel chair to a thirty-two (32) year old physically challenged person Mr. Godwin Drah Dodzi, in the Degorme Electoral Area.
Coverghana.com.gh can report that, Mr. Godwin Drah Dodzi was born naturally with a sickness called hydrocephalus which made him unable to walk since birth. For the past thirty-two (32) year, Mr. Godwin Drah Dodzi has been crawling with both legs and hands until he received the wheel chair from the Member of Parliament.

Godwin Drah Dodzi (Physically challenged person) was identified by the Assembly Member For Degorme Electoral Area Mr. Pythias Agbemor at Mepe Nuwloe, a village which shares boundary with Mepe and Mafi Devime in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region crawling slowly on both hands and knees.
Narrating the story behind Godwin Drah Dodzi’s life, Pythias Agbemor told Coverghana.com.gh reporter that, he met this young man on his campaign tour to Mepe Nuwloe ahead of the District Level Elections conducted in December 2019. His quickly approached the family of the disabled person, where a sympathetic and heart touching story was told about him.

According to Pythias Agbemor, he pledged to support Godwin Drah Dodzi even if he wins or loose the District Level Elections conducted to elect Assembly Members and Unit Committee Members.
After Pythias Agbemor won the Assembly Member election, he began his engagement on a WhatsApp group named “Mepe Nenyo” to secure a wheel chair for the young disabled man. Fortunately, on his engagement to get support for Godwin Drah Dodzi, he met a good Samaritan who serves as the Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the North Tongu Constituency Mr. Quarshie Kumah.
Quarshie Kumah, who is always in touch with the youth connected the Assembly Member for Degorme Electoral to Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for support to get a wheel chair for the young man.

According to Pythias Agbemor, the message was subsequently delivered to the MP. He received the message in good faith and promised to provide the wheel chair. Surprisingly, On Tuesday 11th August, 2020 as Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa celebrates his 40th birthday with some folks of NDC party in his constituency, he unveiled the wheel chair to be given to the young man.
On Wednesday, 12th August, 2020 during an orientation programme for Assembly members, Quarshie Kumah on behalf of Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa officially presented the brand new wheel chair to Godwin Drah Dodzi in the presence of his family at Mepe Nuwloe. Aside the donation of the wheel chair, the MP also promised to surprise Godwin Drah Dodzi in the coming days.
