His highness Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the king of the Ashanti Empire landed in Scotland yesterday September 14, 2023, to initiate his three day working visit.
The main motive behind this visit is to foster cultural and tactful connection between Ghana and Scotland.
An important highlight of the visit will be Otumfuo’s keynote address at the St. Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM), which is set to take place tomorrow, September 16, 2023.
St. Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM) is a student led initiative that seeks to promote a versatile discussion about Africa, Africans and African Affairs.
The summit will take place at St. Andrews University, converging scholars, leaders, and dignitaries from Africa and around the globe to coordinate events focused an Africans and Africa in the diaspora providing a platform to challenge prevailing narratives about Africa’s political and economic affairs. There will also be discussions on Africa’s development, culture and future goals.
There will also be impactful meetings between the Royal Majesty and Cooperate Organizations and Officials in the country .
