Our readiness to successfully transform KNUST is unmeasurable – Education Minister assures

The Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has assured Lecturers, Management and students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s readiness to totally transform the University.
Speaking at the investiture ceremony of Prof. (Mrs) Rita Akosua Dickson, the first female Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) held on Saturday, 1st August, 2020, the Education Minister on behalf of the Ministry of Education reiterated that, the government through the Ministry will cooperate and assist the Vice Chancellor to successfully transform the University.
‘I congratulate and wish the new VC of the KNUST a successful tenure. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, I assure her of our readiness to cooperate and assist her to successfully transform the KNUST.” He assured.
President Nana Akufo-Addo, in his brief remarks, congratulated Prof. Dickson and urged her to take advantage of the numerous reforms that have been recently introduced into the education sector and deliver on her mandate.
Prof. Dickson pledged to lead the KNUST in respect, dignity and humility, and called for total support from all and sundry so she can fulfil her vision to transform the KNUST in the next four years.
The historic occasion was graced by the Chancellor of the KNUST, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Chairman of the KNUST Council, Ambassador Nana Effah-Apenteng, former KNUST VC’s, the clergy and other prominent personalities.
