Owusu Bempah pays GH¢107,000 to Ibrahim Mahama; GH¢203,000 outstanding

The Director of communications at Ghana Gas Company Ltd, Ernest Owusu Bempah has paid an amount of GH¢ 107,000 to Ibrahim Mahama following the Court’s directive to the National Investment Bank (NIB).

The High Court in a case presided over by the Lordship Georgina Mensah-Dataa entered a judgement in favour of Ibrahim Mahama and has charged Ernest Owusu Bempah an amount of GH¢310,000 to be paid to the former for deformation of character.

Ernest Owusu Bempah, has since paid an amount of GH¢ 107,000 to Ibrahim Mahama after Reindorf Twumasi Ankrah, lawyer for Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, got an order from the Court directing the National Investment Bank (NIB) to release an amount of about GH¢ 107,000.00 in the account of Ernest Owusu Bempah to pay part of the judgement debt due Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.

In confirming this, the special aide to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers & Planners Co Ltd Rafik Mahama says his boss Ibrahim Mahama has been paid part of the money.

According to him, “An amount of GH¢ 107,000 has been paid so far with GH¢203,000 outstanding.”

He again said, “Mr. Ibrahim Mahama received an official apology from Owusu Bempah and apart from that, no further decision has been taken with regards to the apology from Owusu Bempah and the outstanding amount of GHC 203,000.”
